Disaster Recovery Training
The goal of Disaster Recovery Training should be to train the disaster recovery personnel to the extent that they are able to execute initial recovery procedures without aid of the actual document, since a paper or electronic version of the plan may be unavailable for the first few hours as a result of the disaster.
In times of disaster, the community looks to its leaders and government agencies to guide them in obtaining disaster relief for its residents, businesses, ranches, farmers and public infrastructure along with appropriate Disaster Recovery Training. Federal and state agencies have numerous rules, regulations and procedures that must be followed to gain critical recovery assistance. State and local agencies responsible for providing disaster relief must be familiar with these requirements to receive timely assistance. Their experience shows that following a disaster; some departments and communities are better prepared than others in maximizing federal and state assistance and consequently gaining critical community support.
